Tesla rates the Powerwall 3 at 13.5 kWh of nominal battery energy with up to 11.5 kW AC continuous power. It integrates a solar inverter and supports up to 20 kW DC of solar.
Tesla lists 97.5% solar-to-grid efficiency and a 10-year warranty for the Powerwall 3.
Where they differ on paper
On single-unit capacity the Powerwall 3 lists 13.5 kWh versus the sonnenCore's 10 kWh. On continuous power the Powerwall 3 lists up to 11.5 kW versus the sonnenCore's 4.8 kW, though the sonnenCore lists an 8.6 kW peak.
Warranty is stated differently. sonnen lists 10 years and 10,000 cycles, while Tesla lists 10 years without a stated cycle count. Efficiency is also on different bases, 85% roundtrip for sonnen and 97.5% solar-to-grid for Tesla.
