Panasonic makes the EverVolt residential battery. The EverVolt 2.0 targets whole home backup and solar self consumption. It is modular and available in AC or DC coupled forms.
Capacity and Power Output
EnergySage lists 17.1 kWh usable capacity for the EverVolt 2.0 EVHB-L6 and 25.65 kWh usable for the larger EVHB-L9. Both are modular and can be stacked for more storage.
Panasonic lists an on-grid power rating of 9.6 kW and an off-grid power rating of 7.6 kW. The two figures reflect different operating modes.
The EverVolt 2.0 uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. It is rated for a depth of discharge of 100 percent.
Efficiency and Warranty
Panasonic lists a roundtrip efficiency of 90 percent for the EverVolt 2.0. That figure describes the energy returned versus energy stored.
The warranty period is 10 years, warrantied for 6,000 cycles. Panasonic guarantees at least 60 percent of capacity at the end of the warranty.
